Kite is a gaff sloop-rigged, with a centreboard with a light and airy two-berth cabin, a generous cockpit, light carbon fibre spars and a weight that allows her to be trailed easily behind a family car.
A trailer/sailer, designed by Andrew Wolstenholme and built by us at Demon Yachts. Aldeburgh 2015, built a "demonstrator", she has been kept in excellent condition, fully set up for racing. She has a current IRC certificate.
A very robust, but lightweight vessel for good for towing, launching and recovery,
Her inventory includes a selection of covers for all situations including a boom tent (enabling full use of the large cockpit) , and an all-over winter cover.
A braked, galvanised trailer in good condition.
Fitted with a Torqueedo electric outboard, a new spare battery. Her sale includes many extras.
She also has her own ‘dry dock’ which could be included in the sale, (provides hassle-free dry sailing!)
She is currently owned by an ex-Olympic sailor, so she has been optimised in a way that only an Olympic medal-winning sailor can!! In the Nore race she came 2nd out of 1100 boats! Mostly sailed on the East Coast, she has also taken part successfully in OGA events on the South Coast and the West Country.
She is equally suitable for lake, estuary and coastal cruising with family and friends.
